Pet Care Services in Chicago

Wag The Tail offers a full range of services. Primarily our clients need us Monday through Friday. However, we do provide services on weekends and holidays. All our services are provided via reservations only.

 

Whether you are at work or going out of town, we will provide professional quality services to make sure you and your furry family member(s) are at ease with one of our trusted pet care team members.

Our Business Hours

Regular business hours are 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday).

Other Hours

We provide service outside of regular business hours.

  • Standard rate - $15 for visit or walks that are 14 minutes or less
  • Rate of $18 is for services before and after regular business hours, 10 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday as well as for Saturday / Sunday services.
  • Our service hours are 8 AM - 8 PM for any visits. Our pet-sitting and house-sitting service hours are from 7 PM - 8 AM
Holiday Rates

Holiday rates are as follows.

  • For a weekend (i.e., Memorial Day), a rate of $20 for any visit/walk.
  • For a visit on holiday (see list of holidays observed below) will be $25 for any visit/walk

Pet Sitting

Sitting is when your furry family member stays in the comfort of your own home. We will keep your furry family member company and take care of them periodically throughout the day.

All dog visits include the below services:

  • Date and time of the visit
  • Tender loving care
  • Treat (if requested to give upon completion of the walk, reward for doing their "duty")
  • Weather-related preparation (i.e., coat, boots/paw protection, etc.)

Additional Services (for all types of pets):

  • Cleaning & refreshing water
  • Feeding
  • Basic medications
  • Clean litter box/area
  • 3x/day visits
  • 4x/day visits
  • 1x/day visits – for non-canine.

Home Safety Services

Going out of town and worried about leaving your house, condo, or apartment unattended? We also provide in-home services to give you peace of mind while you are away.

Home Safety Services may be added to Pet Sitting Services at no additional cost. Further details discussed during our meet-and-greet.

Home Visits Services

  • Making sure lights are on/off
  • Making sure alarms are on/off
  • Retrieval of mail (if requested)
  • Plant care (if requested)

Home Visit Charge

  • Home safety visit - $25

Dog Walking

  • Standard walk (approximately 10-14 minutes) - $14
  • Longer walks (between 15-30 minutes) - $18
  • Each additional dog - $2

Pet Taxi

To and from the groomer or to the veterinary.

  • One-way trip - $20
  • Round trip - $30
